Anteks
Spinning Mill, built in 1986, commenced
production in June 1987 with a machine park of
25.000 spindles and a capacity of 8 tonnes based
on Ne 30/1. Due to its high quality standards
Anteks yarn has become a sought-after product in
the world market and production has increased
steadly. By 1988 a capacity of 33.000 spindles
had been reached, increasing to 55.000 spindles
in 1994, 58.000 in 1997 and 60.000 in 2001.
ATAÇ, being a forerunner in ground-breaking
technology, become one of the first mills to
establish 2000 compact spindles in 2001. The
main machine park consists of Reiter Schlafhorst
and Murata equipment.
The foundation stone of the weaving plant was
laid on 1991 and production began in 1992.
Production commenced at 20.000 metres per day of
grey cloth. The finishing factory was planned
immediately after operation of the weaving plant
in order to offer finished cloth to the world
market. This was completed in 1993. Additional
looms were purchased in 1997 and again in 2001
bringing the capacity to 1.000.000 metres a
month of finished fabric.
Currently, 2.000 kg of yarn is being folded and
twisted on a daily basis. 6.000 kg of yarn is
dyed on fully automated machinary. With an
average weft density of 29/cm the weaving shed
produced around 40.000 metres of grey cloth per
day on 200 rapier and air jet looms. In the
finishing mill all the grey cloth is dyed and
finished using the very latest technology.
At the end of 1997 the finishing factory entered
into brand new markets with the addition of a
coating unit and an ammonia plant to produce non-iron
fabrics.
The ready-to-wear factory, which began
production in late 1996, is situated in the
Antalya Free Trade Zone. It is now producing
1500 shirts a day. All ATAÇ A.Ş. operations use
the most up-to-date techologies where quality is
the most basic philosophy and this is no more
apparent than in the garment factory. In a
variety of world markets relying on competing
functions, Anteks Garment Factory is today an
important research center for weaving plant.
Since completion of the factory in 1996, ATAÇ
A.Ş. has seen the vertical integration and
modern technological advances of its textile
investments. ATAÇ carries its commitment to
quality from fiber to fashion garments
appreciated in the finest fashion centres in the
world..
